May 4, 2022 – October 4, 2022
This is was a project run with Imperial College London EIE Year 3 and IBM. The AI Watson pet is an AI ornament with the characteristics of a pet, designed to target the impact of social isolation for the elderly. The pet will interact with its owner, and perform various actions depending on what the owner wants it to do. This will give the owners the mental health benefits of having a pet, without the responsibility and expenses of actually caring for one. The aim of the project is to create a smart pet with AI technology to interact with its owner successfully.

View ProjectCultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project history shows a strong inclination towards hardware design, embedded systems, and low-level programming (MIPS CPU, Mars Rover, C90-to-MIPS Compiler, Circuit Analysis Tool). While there are relevant data science projects (sec-filing-text-alpha, FYP-Intelligent-Algorithms-for-DNA-Detection, Computer_Vision_Coursework), the overall portfolio leans heavily towards computer engineering. This might indicate a potential mismatch with a pure Data Scientist role, suggesting a stronger fit for roles that combine hardware/embedded systems with data science or AI, or a need for further specialization in data science.
