Object detection using inferred HOG (Histogram of Oriented Gradients) features

Aim of the project was to design and develop a system for object detection. Machine learning algorithms were used to "teach" the classifier which type of objects needs to be detected. System was applied on triangular and rectangular traffic sign detection in images taken from a moving vehicle with a camera.

Project consisted of design and development of an algorithm for object detection in a given set of images using edge elements (pixels on object boundaries). Implementation was done using C++ programming language.

Participated in a student project whose goal was implementation of an image processing algorithm, more specifically edge detection. Project consisted of nine contributors. Development was done in C++ programming language.
