Physical Design Team Leader at proteanTecs
Highly enthusiastic about complex problem solving, out of the box thinking, learning new skills and exploring new aspects of technology, startups, Finance, and stock market. Professionally skilled in ASIC Physical Design: building, developing and managing RTL2GDS flows. My expertise extends to integrating and implementing complex soft IPs in challenging designs across advance nodes using process from leading vendors. I excel in Static timing analysis, physical verifications - proficient with both Synopsys and Cadence tools. Hold BSc in Electrical Engineering from Technion (Cum laude) specialized in VLSI and computer engineering. MBA from Tel-Aviv university specialized in Finance management and capital market. Moshal Scholarship Program Alumni.

Hardware implementation of the SIFT algorithm for object recognition
October 1, 2014 – October 1, 2015
Abstract—Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) generates image features widely used to match objects in different images. Previous work on hardware based SIFT implementation requires excessive internal memory and hardware logic, besides not dealing with the image boarders. In this project, a new hardware organization is proposed to implement the first and second stage of SIFT which supports dealing with the picture borders with less memory and hardware cost in addition to improving computation speed. To this end, a parallel Gaussian filter bank and keypoint detection is designed and a new efficient architecture was adopted. work include : - improving the architecture suggested in the paper - logic design - verification & testing - physical design
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a strong background in hardware engineering and physical design, which aligns with roles requiring deep technical expertise in chip design. The MBA indicates an interest in business acumen, which could be beneficial for strategic roles. However, the target role is 'Software Engineer', and the provided experience is heavily skewed towards hardware/physical design. There is a significant gap in demonstrated software engineering skills, which impacts cultural fit for a pure software role. The project on SIFT algorithm hardware implementation further emphasizes hardware focus.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a team leader and senior engineer suggests strong problem-solving, leadership, and collaboration skills. The project description indicates an ability to improve existing architectures and a 'can do' attitude. However, without specific psychometric test results, a detailed assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is limited.
