Taught a 12-week Elixir intro level course for employees of Stuart. This helped prepare our team to be able to work on the company's production Elixir services in addition to the existing Ruby services. Finance Engine Rewrite

Reworking the finance software on the Stuart platform. - Completely redesigned pricing engine using simple expression based rules to allow the business maximum flexibility when calculating prices. Previously much pricing and billing was done by hand in spreadsheets - this project allowed those tasks to be fully automated, saving a massive amount of employee time. - Ran a cross-functional team to tackle fraud on our platform. This was very successful and reduced our annual fraud costs from 6 figures to 3. The project involved coordinating integration of a new payment service provider across client apps (react-based web app, and mobile apps for Android and iOS) as well as server-side changes. This was done seamlessly with no user impact.
H3 Ruby Bindings

Set up H3 bindings for Ruby. H3 is a project from Uber that allows geospatial indexing via recursively tiled hexagons. The project is open-sourced on GitHub.

H3 is a discrete global grid system for indexing geographies into a hexagonal grid, developed at Uber. This project wraps the C library for H3 with Ruby bindings so it may be called natively from Ruby applications.
