Angel Investor | Ex-Google & NVIDIA | From building at scale to backing what’s next
After three decades leading engineering teams at global scale - from systems software at NVIDIA to operating systems and cloud infrastructure at Google - I’ve traded a world of OKRs for one of curiosity. My journey has led me to angel investing, where I explore the frontiers of technology from a new vantage point. It's a role that allows me to engage deeply with ambitious founders, fellow investors, and ecosystem builders who are creating what’s next. Here on LinkedIn, I share analysis and reflections from that journey: insights from evaluating early-stage companies, patterns emerging across markets, and lessons from my own transition from builder to investor. My background is in scaling complex systems and building high-performing engineering teams. Today, I use that “building at scale” experience to collaborate with and support the people shaping the next generation of technology - whether as founders, investors, or ecosystem builders. Current areas of exploration: • Agentic Workforce - how autonomous AI is reshaping business software • Picks & Shovels of AI - infrastructure, specialized models, developer tools • Cloud-native Systems - evolving in a world of AI-dominated workloads I’m always interested in connecting with thoughtful founders, investors, and ecosystem builders working at the intersection of AI and infrastructure. A short note about what you’re exploring is always appreciated.
