Super Top Up Health Insurance Plan
June 18, 2026 – Present
A super top-up health insurance plan is an enhanced form of top-up health insurance that provides additional coverage beyond a specified threshold. Health insurance is a type of insurance coverage that pays for medical and surgical expenses incurred by the insured. It can reimburse the insured for expenses incurred from illness or injury or pay the care provider directly. Role and Responsibilities: Designing and implementing enrollment and claim workflows, including deductible calculations, claim aggregation logic, threshold validations, and policy synchronization. Integrating with external systems, such as base policy databases, payment gateways, hospital networks, and insurer APIs, ensuring seamless data exchange and reliability. Ensuring compliance and security by applying standards like HIPAA/IRDAI and implementing data privacy practices in both backend logic and API designs. Refactoring and extending legacy systems to support new super top-up features and improve maintainability. Writing unit and integration tests to validate business-critical scenarios such as partial payouts, threshold breaches, policy expiry overlaps, and deductible applications. Collaborated with QA/Product teams for feature validation and delivery. Contributing to CI/CD processes by automating build, test, and deployment workflows for faster and safer releases.
NPA (Non-Performing Assets)
June 18, 2026 – Present
The purpose of this project is to develop a web application to manage and monitor Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) in financial institutions. NPAs are loans or advances for which the principal or interest payment remained overdue for a period of 90 days. Efficient management of NPAs is crucial for maintaining the financial health of institutions. Role and Responsibilities: Designed and developed a robust and scalable web-based application for managing and monitoring Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) in financial institutions. Implemented backend logic using Java, Spring Boot, and JPA to process and track overdue loans based on regulatory standards (90+ days overdue). Developed RESTful APIs to enable secure communication between front-end components and the backend NPA management engine. Ensured data integrity and consistency by designing normalized database schemas and integrating MySQL for persistent storage. Created scheduled jobs and alerts using Spring Batch and Quartz Scheduler to notify users about accounts nearing or exceeding NPA threshold. Worked on authentication and authorization modules using Spring Security to protect sensitive loan data. Participated in code reviews, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and debugging sessions to ensure code quality and maintainability. Integrated third-party APIs for credit bureau checks and financial status verification.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project diversity across health-tech (Super Top Up Health Insurance Plan) and fintech (NPA Management) demonstrates adaptability and a broad interest in different industry challenges. Their experience aligns well with a Software Developer role, particularly one focused on backend Java development. The breadth of skills listed, including frontend (ReactJS), backend (Spring Boot, Microservices, Kafka), database (MySQL), and DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS), indicates a well-rounded technical profile suitable for diverse team environments. The emphasis on collaboration and Agile practices further supports a positive cultural fit.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams (QA, Product, UI/UX). Their participation in Agile methodologies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) indicates a good operational fit for dynamic development environments. The ability to translate complex business requirements into maintainable solutions suggests strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
