Implemented role-based authentication and authorization using Spring Security with JWT to ensure secure access for patients, doctors, and administrators. The application follows a modular backend architecture using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and MySQL, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and secure handling of healthcare data. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. AUTHENTICATION & SECURITY: Implemented secure authentication and authorization using Spring Security and JWT tokens. Role-based access control for Admin, Doctor, and Patient modules. Secured REST APIs using token-based authentication and implemented password encryption. 2.PATIENT MODULE: Developed patient registration and profile management. Implemented medical history management and appointment tracking. 3.PAYMENT GATEWAY INTEGRATION: Integrated secure online payment gateway for consultation fees and medicine purchases. Implemented payment verification and transaction logging. 4.DOCTOR MODULE: Developed APIs for: Doctor registration and profile management. Doctor specialization and availability schedule. Consultation fee configuration. Implemented doctor search and filtering by specialization. 5.PRESCRIPTION MANAGEMENT: Developed digital prescription upload and management system and doctors can upload prescriptions and attach medicines and dosage details. Patients can view and download prescription. 6. APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM: Designed APIs for doctor appointment scheduling. Implemented time-slot availability validation to avoid double bookings. Integrated appointment status tracking: 1.Pending, 2.Confirmed, 3.Completed, 4.Cancelled. 7.MEDICINE ORDERING SYSTEM: Implemented Add to Cart and Order Management functionality.
