Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer
Full-stack engineer with a backend heart, 10+ years. I make data-heavy systems reliable and APIs simple, in fintech, SaaS, and enterprise. Started in C# in oil & gas, moved to Ruby on Rails in 2017. Spent 6 years in the Netherlands, now based in Portugal. At FNZ, I led a backend team of 5 as Engineering Manager without losing my hands-on edge. What I enjoy most is unblocking the people I work with and making their lives easier, helping shape good pull requests, writing clear tickets, and sorting out priorities so the team can just build. I also love (and I'm good at) helping with onboarding and interviewing candidates. And I do the quiet work, too, simplifying tangled APIs and preventing production incidents before users notice. You can't always ship the perfect architecture, and that's fine. Sometimes, simple just works. On the side, I co-founded Mentorflow, a bootstrapped B2B SaaS for martial arts academies, with 2,000+ daily active users. Don't take my word for any of this.
