Smart URL Shortener
January 1, 2026 – January 1, 2026
Building a 2-module full-stack URL shortener with Spring Boot backend and React frontend for REST API and UI integration practice. Implementing 4 core flows: long URL submission, short-code generation, redirect handling, and URL record management. Creating REST endpoints for URL creation and redirection with JSON responses, validation-ready structure, and Postman-based testing. Organizing backend/frontend folders separately while practicing Git version control, debugging, documentation, and iterative feature development.

January 1, 2025 – January 1, 2026
Built a C++17 packet inspection engine to parse 4 protocol headers from PCAP files: Ethernet, IPv4, TCP, and UDP. Extracted 5-tuple flow metadata: source IP, destination IP, source port, destination port, and protocol for traffic classification. Implemented TLS Client Hello SNI extraction to identify HTTPS hostnames without decrypting traffic. Designed a 3-stage reader-parser-writer pipeline with producer-consumer queues and added 3 rule checks: IP, application, and domain substring.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's projects show a good breadth of technical interests, from low-level C++ network programming to full-stack Java/React development. Participation in a hackathon and leadership role indicates a proactive and collaborative mindset. The certifications and self-driven projects suggest a strong desire for continuous learning and skill development, which aligns well with a growth-oriented culture. However, as an entry-level candidate, the diversity of professional experience is limited.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates an ability to work in team settings (Smart India Hackathon Team Leader) and participate in Agile workflows (internship). Project descriptions indicate an understanding of documentation, debugging, and iterative development. However, without specific assessment data, a deeper evaluation of communication, stress handling, and collaboration is not possible.
