Built a C++17 packet inspection engine to parse 4 protocol headers from PCAP files: Ethernet, IPv4, TCP, and UDP. Extracted 5-tuple flow metadata: source IP, destination IP, source port, destination port, and protocol for traffic classification. Implemented TLS Client Hello SNI extraction to identify HTTPS hostnames without decrypting traffic. Designed a 3-stage reader-parser-writer pipeline with producer-consumer queues and added 3 rule checks: IP, application, and domain substring.
