Legal Auctions Web v2.0
January 1, 2015 – January 1, 2017
I worked on a step by step refactoring of the ZF1.12 code of the Legal Auctions Web application into Symfony3. I've made sure that the legacy Zend code and my new Symfony3 application have become best friends, in both directions. This ensures that I can refactor parts of the application on demand instead of all at once. At the same time, I'm working on building in some new core functionality.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a long history of freelance work and diverse project experience, which suggests adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies. Their involvement in personal projects and a wide range of client work indicates a broad interest in technology and problem-solving. However, the primary focus on backend development (PHP, Symfony) and limited explicit frontend technologies (jQuery, some React) might not align perfectly with a culture seeking a dedicated, modern frontend specialist.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience in mentoring junior developers suggests strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Their long tenure in freelance roles indicates self-motivation and adaptability. The diverse project portfolio, including client-facing and internal tools, shows a capacity to work across different operational contexts. However, the target role is 'Frontend Developer' while the experience is heavily backend/fullstack, which might indicate a mismatch in operational fit for a dedicated frontend role.
