I have been working as a DevOps Engineer for Cigna, a U.S.-based global health services organization, since, The project’s primary goal was to modernize and automate the infrastructure, improve deployment efficiency, and enable faster, more reliable delivery of applications across multiple environments — DEV, STAG, QA, and PROD. I designed and managed a complete CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, integrating GitHub for version control, Maven for build automation, and SonarQube for code quality checks. Deployments were automated to different environments, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent configurations. On the infrastructure side, I implemented AWS cloud solutions using Terraform, provisioning EC2 instances, VPCs, security groups, and configuring services like Auto Scaling, IAM, ELB, S3, Glacier, CloudFront, RDS, Route53, SNS, and EBS. I also set up CloudWatch alarms to trigger scaling events automatically. For containerization, I worked with Docker to build and customize images, pushing them to ECR, and then deploying them onto Kubernetes clusters for running microservices. I also automated server provisioning and application deployments using Ansible and integrated it with Jenkins for zero-touch deployments. Additionally, I created Bash and shell scripts for repetitive tasks, worked on DNS configurations for attaching web and media servers to ALB target groups, and collaborated with the team for database migrations using Ansible and Octopus Deploy. Throughout the project, I actively participated in Scrum ceremonies, maintained detailed documentation, and ensured smooth collaboration between development and operations teams.
