Python Software Developer. Scrum Master. DevOps and System Administrator.
I am a Python Developer since 2014. My career started at Molecular Health where we developed Web Applications based on Pyramids / Pylons and a UI in ExtJS with PostgreSQL and SQLALchemy. At Gotthardt AG I worked mostly with Django and also with PostgreSQL as backend. I also took over several DevOps and System Administration tasks, like automated deployment, first steps with Ansible and automation on Windows. At SAP I now mostly write Flask Applications and scripts that use SAP HANA as a backend to solve infrastructure tasks and recently took on the role as Scrum Master in our Team. During my studies I worked several years as System Administrator at the university and one year in a small company in Heidelberg. At university I administrated two of our compute clusters with hadoop and HDFS that were fully automatically installed with FAI. I helped planning and designing our storage solutions on NFS and several RAID systems and monitored and configured all of our services, including DNS, DHCP, NFS and our website. In the company I also mostly administrated Debian systems that were virtualized with XEN and clustered for high availability. I also got to work with Red Hat systems, tomcat application servers and zope. Working as a Python Developer is especially fun for me because of the readability and elegance of Python code that manages to produce quick results. Working in a team and especially code reviews help to sharpen our development skills and keep the code quality and maintainability high. We use flake8 and pylint and our test coverage is always above 95%, both checked and enforced automatically. I studied computational linguistics / natural language processing and computer science as my two majors. I finished my studies with a german 'Magister' which is approximately equivalent to a masters degree. I participated in a training called 'Advanced Python' at the Pyt

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a strong background in academic and enterprise environments (University of Heidelberg, SAP), which suggests an ability to work within structured organizations. The transition from system administration to senior Python backend engineering roles indicates adaptability and a drive for technical growth. However, the lack of detailed project descriptions makes it challenging to assess cultural fit beyond general technical alignment and experience with established companies.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's resume indicates a long tenure in system administration roles, suggesting diligence and problem-solving skills. The description of automating system administration tasks implies an efficiency-oriented mindset. However, without specific project details or direct communication samples, it is difficult to assess soft skills like collaboration, leadership, or adaptability beyond what can be inferred from role descriptions.
