Senior Backend Developer. Expert on anything Python, microservices, Kubernetes (K8s) and native/system software appereciator.
As an autistic software engineer, I bring unique strengths in pattern recognition and analytical problem-solving to complex distributed systems. My strong sense of justice drives a focus on quality and genuine user value, while my systematic thinking enables effective architecture design and comprehensive documentation. Python is my primary language, with deep expertise in its ecosystem and distributed systems. I'm also proficient in lower-level languages like C and modern C++, with interest in emerging technologies like Rust and WebAssembly. My ability to quickly master new technologies and languages ensures I can always choose the optimal solution for each challenge. Beyond enterprise software, I can develop on embedded systems using MicroPython and C++. I am currently creating a new MicroPython framework for ESP32 microcontrollers as an open source project that I combine with an interest in electronics and PCB design to create hardware solutions for myself.

Collisions detection demo using the voronoi clipping (V-Clip) algorithm
March 1, 2012 – December 1, 2013
For my study I created this asteroid-like game prototype in modern C++ to showcase my knowledge of OpenGL and collision detection, it was the final result of 3 consecutive subjects during my game programming specialisation. The star of the show is the narrow collision detection using the V-Clip algorithm. I implemented it solely based on the MERL TR-97-05 paper since there was very little information available at the time. This impressed my professor so much I received the highest grade for the subject. For the graphics I used OpenGL Core Profile 3.2 with GLSL 1.50, brand new at the time. The lightning-model is based on phong shading. Most of this was not part of my curriculum at the time and it was self taught. I was allowed to publish it as open source since it was judged I used little to no school resources for both the graphics stack and collision algorithm.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background is heavily focused on backend engineering and media processing, which aligns with roles requiring robust data handling. The personal projects (IoT, game development) show a diverse interest in technology and a proactive learning attitude. However, the direct experience with 'Data Engineer' specific tools and methodologies (e.g., big data frameworks, ETL pipelines, data warehousing) is not explicitly detailed, which might require some upskilling for a pure Data Engineer role. The long tenure at Bynder suggests loyalty and stability.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Senior Backend Engineer and technical mentor suggests strong collaboration and leadership skills. The description of architecting and creating complex systems implies problem-solving and strategic thinking. The personal projects demonstrate initiative and a passion for learning new technologies.
