Nowadays the field of medical engineering is florishing more than it has ever been, the inspiration behind this project is the control of magnetic micro-particles. The cultured Magnetotactic Bacteria (MTB) has in its biological structure magnetic characteristic which ease their control using electrical fields. This bachelor project is concerned with the tracking of the bacteria in order to study their motion regarding their speed and position to determine the electric field magnitude and direction that needs to be applied on the sample to be directed and control their motion in an attempt to defeat cancer cells.The final result is an algorithm that tracks all the MTB that are in the focus of the microscope, through offline videos
