Mario Rodriguez is an AI Solutions Consultant at IDB. He’s a former AI Robotics Engineer and operator of Sophia The Robot, the first humanoid robot. He previously was the CTO and co-founder of the startup Arivey, a SaaS platform recognized by the AWS Build Accelerator 2023 and the Founder Institute Toronto 2024. He graduated with honors a Master's degree in Optimization and Applied Computation from Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (UAEM) in 2023, where he made research for a Mexican Sign Language recognition system. His work in artificial intelligence has resulted in ten successful AI/ML projects at Omdena (2021-2023), where he led ten AI/ML projects collaborating with organizations like Seedstars, Katapult Accelerator, and Acrobat Ventures. He holds multiple certifications like Project Management Professional® from PMI, Leading Digital Transformation from MIT Professional Education, Data Science Specialization from IBM, and from AWS: Solutions Architect Associate, Generative AI, MLOps Engineering, among others. He has been awarded the CONAHCYT Full Funded Scholarship, secured third place in the Cohere Thanksgiving Hackathon 2023, second place in Techstars Startup Weekend Blockchain Mexico 2022, and served as the Curator of the Global Shapers Community Cancun Hub (2023-2024), an initiative of the World Economic Forum. His interests include human-computer interaction, multi-agent systems, and exponential ecosystems particularly both in AI and entrepreneurship.
