Development of backend micro services for high-concurrency web app
October 1, 2013 – Present
Development of the backend services for a very popular betting company with thousands of active users. Due to heavy load on these services they all have to be scalable and extremely fast. All sort of tricks and best-practices have to be considered (and often employed) when designing this kind of services (things like caching distributed on a cluster of nodes, request throttling to 3rd party services, etc).
Spinner Restaurant iOS App
October 1, 2013 – Present
Development of simple iOS app. First contact with Obj-C programming language.
Web site development
May 1, 2013 – Present
Development of the http://www.peixe.in web site. This is a single page web site with a pretty cool design (which turned out to be a pretty nice challenge to bring to life). Used a lot of front-end tools/technologies (like js, jquery, etc) as well as the free PaaS service Heroku. The final result was tweaked until a very fast and very capable solution was achieved (thanks to tools like Google's PageSpeed Insights).
Corporate SOA Platform development at Banco Finantia
January 1, 2012 – July 1, 2012

It was even built on top of this platform the first fully "CSP enabled" project which had the advantage of start a process of standardization of the several different systems used in-house.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has worked in a variety of companies, from large corporations like Amazon and Citi to smaller firms, and across different sectors (finance, e-commerce, media, telecommunications). This diversity suggests adaptability to different organizational cultures. The project descriptions indicate a focus on delivering robust and performant solutions, which aligns with a results-oriented culture. However, the lack of specific team-based project descriptions or explicit collaboration details makes a deeper cultural fit assessment challenging. The target role is 'Backend Engineer', which aligns well with the candidate's extensive experience.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions highlight problem-solving (e.g., 'pretty nice challenge to bring to life', 'tweaked until a very fast and very capable solution was achieved') and an understanding of performance considerations. The long tenure and progression through various roles suggest reliability and a capacity for growth. However, without specific psychometric or English test results, a detailed assessment of communication, logical reasoning, stress handling, and team collaboration is not possible.
