AI contest over a tetris duel game. I ended up in the top 11% (36 out of 329 players/teams). I kept coding like there was no tomorrow until the last hours before competition lock down. My bot was building a tree with 2 previews and one random piece, leaves were analysed by a heuristic I created. Tuning the heuristic was done through a genetic algorithm and perfected through a gradient descent/swarm optimization techniques. I learned a lot about bit fields and optimization techniques with this project, I will put those techniques to the next challenge: ultimate Tictactoe.
LeekWars (Artificial Intelligence development game)

Another AI exciting project. Turn based game where leeks fight each other. In a couple of months I reached the top 2% (out of several thousands players at the time), as my PhD was ending I had to focus on it and leave the competition.
Warlight Artificial Intelligence Challenge

Development of an AI for a risk-like game. I managed to reach the top 10% (out of 500 teams) during the official competition that occurred in may. It was an exciting and challenging competition, unfortunately I wasn't able to spend as I much time as I wanted on this project.
