Sales Performance Dashboard
January 1, 2024 – Present
Built an end-to-end Power BI dashboard to analyze sales trends, regional performance, and product-wise revenue using sample retail dataset. Used Power Query to clean and transform raw CSV data — handled nulls, merged tables, and created calculated columns for reporting. Designed DAX measures for KPIs: Total Sales, YOY Growth, Profit Margin, and Month-over-Month comparison. Implemented interactive slicers for Region, Product Category, and Time Period enabling dynamic filtering for stakeholders.
E-Commerce Revenue Tracker
January 1, 2023 – Present
Created a Power BI report to monitor monthly revenue, order volume, customer acquisition, and product return rate metrics. Practiced connecting Power BI to Excel workbooks and building star-schema relationships between fact and dimension tables. Implemented bookmarks and buttons to create a navigation panel between report pages, giving the report a professional app-like user experience. Built a dynamic title measure using DAX that automatically updates the report title based on the selected slicer value (e.g., product category or region). Performed data profiling in Power Query — used column quality, column distribution, and column profile tools to identify data errors, blanks, and outliers before loading into the model. Added conditional formatting on KPI cards and tables to highlight underperforming products in red and top performers in green, making insights instantly actionable for business users. Published report to Power BI Service and explored dashboard sharing, currently integrating with Microsoft Fabric workspace.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's projects show a clear alignment with the target role of a Power BI Developer, focusing on data visualization, analysis, and reporting. The pursuit of Microsoft Fabric knowledge indicates an interest in modern data platforms, which aligns with current industry trends. The diversity of projects (sales performance, e-commerce revenue) demonstrates an ability to apply skills across different business contexts. However, the lack of team-based projects or professional experience limits the assessment of collaborative cultural fit.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates self-motivation and a proactive learning attitude, as evidenced by pursuing certifications and personal projects. The project descriptions indicate an understanding of user experience in report design (e.g., navigation panels, dynamic titles, conditional formatting). However, without formal work experience, operational fit regarding collaboration, project management, and handling real-world business requirements cannot be fully assessed.
