Analyzing the Movielens data set using python and developing some conjectures that help build a movie recommenda tion system for the users.
October 1, 2016 – Present
Movie companies will be able to gain deeper understanding of their customers’ taste by exploring the data. In addition, they are trying to personalize their service for each individual customer by predicting their preference. Recommendation system plays a critical role in providing personalized service. Movie service providers, such as Netflix, personalize their movie recommendations for subscribers in order to better maintain customer loyalty. Electronic commerce companies, like Amazon, personalize the product recommendation for customers to sell more products. Social Media companies, like Instagram, personalize user recommendation to make customers spend more time on the website. Movie lens recommendation system predicts a list of movies a particular person may like based on high rated movies and same genres movies
Sampling twitter data with streaming API using python
September 1, 2016 – Present
Based on the latest state and national polls, the New York Time’s Upshot election model predicts there is only 25% chance Donald Trump of winning the presidency. To continue the campaign, how could Donald J. Trump win more votes? The first step to answer that question is to understand what people think and then adjust campaign strategy accordingly. The big data on twitter is the best source to find out the political issue people care the most during this presidential election. In this study, with the analysis on the twitter data, we are aiming to find out the public focus and common desire by looking for the words showing up with highest frequency, state trends and the most influential users or groups within 2016 election related tweets. The analysis results will be a good base to come up with optimal campaign strategy for Donald Trump.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a diverse professional background spanning various industries (retail, finance, consulting, cybersecurity) and company sizes, which suggests adaptability. Their project experience, though personal, aligns with data analysis and machine learning, indicating a genuine interest in the field. The progression from Data Engineer to Senior Data Science/Engineer Lead roles demonstrates ambition and growth. However, the lack of explicit community involvement or diverse team project descriptions limits the depth of cultural fit assessment.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience descriptions highlight strong stakeholder management, team coordination, and problem-solving abilities, which are crucial for senior roles. Their work at Walmart Global Tech involved cross-functional collaboration and driving business adoption, indicating good operational fit. However, without specific psychometric test results, a deeper assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is not possible.
