Technology Director | CTO / Head of Engineering | Building & Scaling Digital Products
I’m a technology leader (CTO / Head of Engineering / Technology Director) who builds and scales digital products and the teams behind them. I work at the intersection of delivery and strategy: shaping roadmaps, hiring and mentoring high-performing engineers, and creating pragmatic architectures that ship reliably. I’m hands-on when needed, but I’m equally comfortable leading stakeholders, managing risk, and aligning engineering execution to commercial goals. My sector experience includes fintech, retail, telecommunications, travel & transportation, and cybersecurity, robotics, autonomous drones & AI. Over the last decade I’ve led global teams and delivery across startups, scaleups and enterprise clients—often in complex, customer-facing environments where security, reliability and time-to-market matter. I have worked around the world, building products and running services in Japan, North America, Middle East, Central and Eastern Europe & the UK. Strengths: engineering leadership & team scaling · cloud/platform delivery · full-stack product development · AI-enabled features · security-minded delivery · partner/vendor management Open to CTO / Head of Engineering / Technology Director roles (UK/EU/RoW), including fractional or advisory engagements.

Watchman
October 1, 2019 – Present
Watchman is a product for cybersecurity and system reliability designed to monitor servers, platforms and applications, to create a configuration free, self learning system that can holistically monitor system health and security. The internet of connected ‘things’ has become truly vast. With over 1.5 billion public-facing websites, more than 3 billion “Internet of Things” devices and 100,000s of industrial and domestic robotic units. Connecting these platforms and devices together has created enormous opportunity and value, and is shaping the future in ways that are still being understood. But it is also creating risk, challenges and vulnerabilities - challenges in management, monitoring and control - and opportunities for abuse and misuse. Whilst systems and Solutions already exist to support security and management, these are not keeping pace with the rate of growth and complexity; they are vendor-locked, or device specific, or aimed at specific aspects of control, or are complex and resource intensive to operate and configure. Few platforms offer a complete holistic view - and none put that information into an easily digestible, easily understandable form. Watchman is a solution that will combine both security and reliability management of systems and devices to allow end-users, business owners, managers, consultants and IT staff to focus on the critical issues that affect their business - and to regain control.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's diverse experience across various companies (startups, enterprises, consulting) and industries (Fintech, Agritech, E-commerce, Public Sector) suggests adaptability and a broad perspective. Their involvement in R&D projects like 'Anthropoidal' and 'Watchman' indicates an innovative and proactive mindset. The target role of 'Blockchain Developer' requires a deep technical focus, which, while present in their MoneyToken experience, is not consistently highlighted as a hands-on development role across their career. The cultural fit for a pure developer role might require further validation of their current coding proficiency and desire for a hands-on contribution.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong leadership, strategic thinking, and program management skills. Their experience in building and mentoring teams, establishing delivery cadences, and managing stakeholder relationships indicates a high operational fit for senior leadership roles. The focus on reliability, security, and maintainable delivery aligns with best practices. However, the resume primarily highlights management and strategic roles, with less emphasis on hands-on technical depth in blockchain development beyond the MoneyToken CTO role.
