Flood Forecasting Model Using Federated Learning & Deep Learning

Developed a flood forecasting model using Python, TensorFlow and Federated Learning to enhance prediction accuracy while preserving data privacy across 18 distributed stations. Implemented FFNN and CNN2D algorithms using Keras to forecast flood levels 5 days in advance — improving accuracy from 82.76% (FFNN) to 87.86% (CNN2D). Integrated multiple hydrological models using Pandas and NumPy — including stream routing, precipitation runoff, and hydrodynamic models — for comprehensive flood prediction. Applied data preprocessing, normalization, and feature scaling on meteorological datasets from 18 stations using Python data pipelines. Evaluated model performance using MSE and RMSE metrics and visualized results with Matplotlib to ensure high reliability.
