Delivery Time Prediction for a Logistics Company

Led a data driven corridor optimization study for a national logistics network, analyzing 1133 origin and 1107 destination nodes to identify 5 delay critical routes from 25 source cities. Built a weighted congestion model (70% delay / 30% extra distance) and applied Prim's Minimum Spanning Tree analysis to evaluate new warehouse placement scenarios, identifying Nagpur as the optimal hub and reducing total routing distance from 78.37 to 71.91 units. Developed a 2 layered neural network architecture to predict actual delivery times using engine based OSRM telemetry variables, and route benchmarking for 23 variables.

Conducted operational assessment for a beverage producer (12 SKUs, 9 districts) evaluating relocation of manufacturing plant ~4 km away, network expansion potential, and warehouse optimization requirements. Analysed current throughput (≈100K bottles/day; 22,800 L) across 2 daily shifts, scaling to 3 shifts in peak season with demand reaching ~80% of production capacity to determine warehousing redesign triggers. Identified warehousing as primary bottleneck: production is fully automated while storage, picking, and dispatch remain labour-dependent, resulting in handling delays and constrained peak-season turnaround. Modelled SKU mix profitability across value chain (11% manufacturer, 19% distributor, 26% retailer margins) and recommended introducing a mid-size SKU variant, enabling 10% SKU portfolio expansion and ~16% uplift in per-unit profit margin.
Performance Assessment of Fully Adaptive Traffic Control (FATC)

Overlooked conduction of data capture, extraction, and evaluation of traffic cycle length, queue count and vehicle volume for accessing the performance of ATC signals at about 11 complex urban corridor intersections through 6 days managing 50+ volunteers. Translated raw traffic throughput, queue build-up, journey-time, and V-Box GPS datasets into executive decision insights, assisting Municipal bodies in infrastructure expansion to cover an additional 70 intersections under ATC modernization.
