AI Research Engineer with 10+ years in Medical Informatics & Surgical Performance
I am a general surgery trainee and clinician-researcher with my PhD in medical informatics submitted at the University of Edinburgh in 2026. My research focuses on cognitive load and its impact on surgical performance, with the goal of enhancing both technical precision and non-technical skills in high-pressure operating-room environments. I have a developed specialism in clinical human factors, AI safety, and patient safety, and a sustained interest in the application of sports psychology principles to surgical training and team performance.
