San Juan
August 1, 2012 – December 1, 2012
Rails application developed for the city of San Juan, Argentina. This GIS application consists of two parts: A GIS listing antenna towers (cellular, dipole, microwave, omnidirectional) in the city of San Juan. A GIS listing businesses and ads in them. My role in this project was primarily the development of the interface and user experience, taking into account the complexity to show the large amount of information available to the application.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a diverse project background, including personal projects and roles in various startups and companies. While the target role is 'Frontend Developer', a significant portion of their experience is in full-stack and backend development (Ruby on Rails, AWS). This indicates a broad technical skill set but also a potential mismatch in direct frontend specialization. The candidate's experience in leading teams and taking ownership of product development suggests a proactive and engaged individual, which could be a good cultural fit for dynamic environments.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Team Lead and Full Stack Lead Developer suggests strong leadership, project management, and team collaboration skills. The descriptions of building applications from scratch and managing cloud solutions indicate a proactive and problem-solving attitude. The focus on user experience in several roles also points to a user-centric approach to development.
