View ProjectMovie Ticket Booking Application
March 1, 2026 – April 1, 2026
Built a Theatre Management System using Java 17, Spring Boot 3, and Spring Security with JWT-based RBAC to secure three interconnected modules — an admin console, a theatre manager console, and a user portal supporting 300+ concurrent users and 1000+ simultaneous ticket bookings. Engineered a high-concurrency seat locking system using Redis(TTL 300s) to prevent race conditions, implemented a real-time state machine where a seat transitions to "Checkout" state in <250ms, visually alerting hundreds of concurrent users to avoid duplicate booking attempts. Guaranteed 100% data consistency during high traffic by leveraging MongoDB optimistic locking (@Version) and atomic transactions (@Transactional), ensuring that once a seat is booked within the 5-minute window, it is physically impossible for another user to claim it. Maximized system throughput and reduced data latency to <30ms by architecting a high-speed Redis memory tier (@Cacheable) alongside a structurally optimized MongoDB schema using compound indexes and database references (@DBRef), seamlessly resolving complex theatrical scheduling conflicts and seat availability queries. Deployed the full-stack application on AWS EC2 (t3.micro), with secure configuration management and a distributed data layer (Redis Cloud + MongoDB Atlas), supporting 300+ concurrent users and 100+ Requests Per Second(RPS) with consistent sub-50ms API response times.
