AI, Systems Thinking & Policy Scientist at TNO Vector, Centre for Societal Innovation and Strategy
A curious digital policy and innovation scientist that tackles complex real-world problems. Especially interested in how (digital) innovation creates societal change and how (ethical) public values are taken into account. Since my studies - and now at TNO - I have been drawn to investigating the societal impact and design of artificial intelligence (AI), the 'systems technology', and how government should adopt/adapt to this. I am driven by finding answers in other disciplines and connecting ideas to each other. If you want to know more about my research, please send me a message!

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background includes both academic/research environments (TNO, TU Delft) and a startup (Widget Brain). Participation in multidisciplinary teams and award-winning projects suggests a collaborative and achievement-oriented mindset. The focus on 'responsible AI' and 'AI for social good' aligns with values often sought in forward-thinking organizations. However, the shift from hands-on development to policy and research might indicate a different career trajectory than a typical software engineer, potentially impacting cultural fit for a purely development-focused team.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience at TNO as a Scientist Innovator and Medior Scientist Integrator suggests strong research, analytical, and policy-oriented skills. The role as Treasurer for the Helios 3D Team indicates organizational and financial management capabilities. The technical consultant role at Widget Brain shows client interaction and problem-solving skills. However, direct evidence of operational fit for a pure software engineering role is limited, as recent roles are more research and policy-focused.
