View ProjectCollabBoard Real-Time Drawing & Collaboration Platform
May 1, 2023 – June 1, 2026
Designed and built a real-time collaborative drawing application enabling multiple users to create, edit, and sync canvas elements within shared rooms. Implemented WebSocket-based communication from scratch to handle live shape creation, movement, resizing, deletion, and state synchronization without third-party real-time libraries. Developed room-based collaboration using unique URLs, allowing users to join shared sessions and interact on a common canvas in real time. Implemented ephemeral session handling where canvas state is maintained while participants are active and automatically reset once all users disconnect. Built core canvas rendering and shape logic manually using the Canvas API, gaining in-depth understanding of event handling, rendering cycles, and state consistency.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's project portfolio demonstrates a strong interest in building functional, real-world applications, aligning well with a product-driven culture. The diversity of projects (real-time collaboration, blog platform, e-commerce clone) shows a breadth of interest and willingness to tackle different problem domains. The self-driven nature of these personal projects suggests initiative and a passion for development, which are positive indicators for cultural fit in an innovative team.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions suggest a proactive approach to learning and implementing complex features (e.g., custom WebSocket implementation, Canvas API). The focus on 'clean architecture, maintainable code, and user-focused interfaces' indicates an awareness of best practices and user experience. However, without direct work experience, it's difficult to assess collaboration, stress handling, or direct communication skills in a team setting.
