Built and deployed to production a real-time blood donor-requester matching platform; frontend on Vercel, backend on Render, WebSocket channel layer on Redis Cloud. Designed a 5-state request lifecycle (Pending → Accepted → Finalized → Rejected → Success) with backend-enforced blood-type compatibility validation at the serializer level; donors cannot self-accept or accept incompatible/completed requests. Exposed 9 REST API endpoints (JWT auth, profile, blood requests, donor accept/finalize) with all write operations protected by authentication middleware. Implemented private WebSocket chat rooms via Django Channels; rooms auto-created on finalization, enabling instant messaging between requester and confirmed donor. Used Django Signals to decouple automatic profile creation from the auth flow on every user registration.
