Machine Learning Researcher / Software Engineer / Engineer
I'm a self-efficace engineer. My continuous education and experience allow me to "wear a lot of hats". - Able to work on multidisciplinary projects; - Able to go deep into a subject and understand complex concepts; - Able to read and understand state-of-the-art research; - Able to autonomously come up with solutions to complex problems; - Able to recruit and assemble a team of qualified engineers; - Able to work with, organize and guide people from different areas/domains/backgrounds; - Able to understand business plans and needs; - Able to negotiate and establish acceptable compromises. As an employee, it is important to me that: - I have a say in the company's and/or my team's direction; - I have challenging problems to work on; - I learn new things and develop my skills.

Classification of Hand Movements Using Superficial Electromyography, Logistic Regression, Neural Network, Support Vector Machine and NinaPro Database
July 1, 2014 – December 1, 2014
This project uses the second NinaPro database to develop a system, based on superficial electromyography, capable of classifying movements of a person's hand (abduction of the fingers, fingers flexed together in fist, pointing index, wrist flexion, wrist extension and grasp). In particular, it compares the accuracy of three classification methods (logistic regression, neural networks and support vector machine) for variable sets of electrodes, for variable sets of characteristics and for training sets of different sizes.
RoboPET
September 1, 2009 – March 1, 2011
The main objective of the RoboPET project is to develop a fully autonomous robot team capable of playing soccer in order to compete and win the RoboCup Small Size League.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's career trajectory, primarily within a startup environment (Echo54) and consulting (Ambush), suggests a preference for dynamic, innovative, and fast-paced cultures. Their involvement in developing a product from scratch, managing multidisciplinary teams, and engaging with venture capital firms indicates an entrepreneurial mindset. The projects, particularly 'Classification of Hand Movements' and 'RoboPET', show a strong interest in advanced research and practical application of complex algorithms. While the experience is deep in ML/DL and data analysis, the focus has been heavily on R&D and product development within a specific domain (seismic data, IoT). This might require an assessment of their adaptability to different data domains or more traditional corporate structures, but their breadth of technical skills (hardware, firmware, backend, frontend) suggests versatility. The target role of 'Data Analyst' might be a slight mismatch given their senior ML/DL researcher and co-founder background, which typically aligns with Data Scientist or ML Engineer roles, suggesting they might be overqualified or seeking a shift in focus.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's extensive experience as a Co-Founder and Machine Learning Researcher at Echo54 demonstrates strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. Their involvement in multidisciplinary projects, crisis management, and investor meetings indicates adaptability, resilience, and business acumen. The descriptions highlight a proactive approach to research and development, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to guide technical teams. These qualities suggest a strong operational fit for senior roles requiring both technical depth and strategic oversight.
