Technical Consultant at Advania
Medical engineer turned developer due to my fascination with the creativity of building my own software from scratch where I can make useful sense of otherwise incomprehensible data. From working at two e-health start-ups I have hands on experience building AI applications from scratch demanding real time processing of data. Latest addition are some Data Engineering skills (ELT, MLOps etc) from working at a large Swedish retailer and a fast growing Icelandic logistics company.

Group Project: Detecting various EEG signals and use them in the control of a robot arm. - Processing raw EEG data achieved from a EPOC headset and developing Matlab algorithms for detection and communication. - Establishing wireless connection between the brain-computer interface and an arduino controlling the robot arm. - Set up of a position and a pressure feedback for the robot arm and connection to indicate the state to the user.
Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a diverse background spanning medical engineering, machine learning, and data engineering across various companies, including startups and larger organizations. This breadth of experience suggests adaptability and a willingness to tackle different challenges. The projects in medical engineering and health tech align well with roles requiring analytical rigor and impact-driven work. However, the target role is 'Data Analyst', while the candidate's recent roles are more aligned with 'Data Engineer' and 'Machine Learning Engineer'. This might indicate a slight mismatch in the depth of analytical focus versus engineering implementation, which could impact cultural fit for a pure data analyst role.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Co-Founder and Algorithm Developer, along with roles involving usability testing and management meetings, suggests strong initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. The descriptions of setting up CI/CD and automated testing indicate a focus on operational excellence and quality. However, without specific psychometric test results, a deeper assessment of work attitude, stress handling, and team collaboration is not possible.
