Deep Diabetic: Diabetic Eye Disease Identification System
October 1, 2025 – March 1, 2026
Designed a CNN-based automated system classifying Diabetic Retinopathy severity across 5 clinical grades from retinal fundus images, directly supporting data-driven clinical decision-making. Trained a custom deep neural network (TensorFlow/Keras) on 3,000+ retinal images with data augmentation (rotation, flipping, zoom), achieving 89% classification accuracy and reducing overfitting. Integrated a text-to-speech output module to make model results accessible to clinical users — demonstrating ability to translate analytical outputs into user-friendly business deliverables. Analysed and visualised model performance metrics (accuracy, loss, confusion matrix) using Matplotlib and Pandas — skills directly applicable to Power BI dashboard creation and reporting.
Lung Cancer Detection using Ensemble Algorithms
January 1, 2024 – May 1, 2024
Built an end-to-end ML detection pipeline using CT scan and X-ray images; preprocessed 2,000+ medical images with OpenCV and NumPy, mirroring real-world data-cleaning workflows. Implemented and benchmarked 4 ensemble models (Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, AdaBoost, Voting Classifier) — achieving 92% detection accuracy on the held-out test set. Reduced false-negative rate by 18% over single-model baselines by tuning ensemble weights via cross-validation, demonstrating rigorous analytical and optimisation skills. Produced comparative performance charts and data-driven insights reports — directly analogous to creating business dashboards and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's projects are primarily in the healthcare domain, demonstrating a focused interest. The pursuit of certifications in Power BI, SQL, and Power Platform indicates an alignment with roles requiring business intelligence and data visualization skills, which complements the core data science background. The candidate is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, which suggests a learning-oriented mindset. However, the lack of diverse project domains or team-based project experience limits the assessment of broader cultural adaptability.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's project descriptions indicate an ability to translate technical outputs into user-friendly deliverables and present data-driven insights, which suggests good communication and stakeholder engagement potential. The focus on healthcare applications implies a detail-oriented approach and an understanding of real-world problem-solving. However, without direct work experience, operational fit in a team environment and stress handling cannot be fully assessed.
