Senior Software Engineer at Ironclad, Inc.
I've always been tinkering around with little projects. I wrote my own CMS before I even know what a CMS was. I wrote the website for my robotics team (from scratch), and for my band, for a short time. I got an internship in my last year of high school. That internship turned in to a full time job doing what I love - programming, but more importantly, solving problems. I take a great deal of pride in the code that I wrote. Not in a "this is my code don't touch it" sense, but that what I write is a direct reflection of myself. Programming is a craft - not a science or an engineering task, but a craft, like woodworking. I write my code to be efficient and beautiful to look at. I like to make things, as my friend says, "squishy". Programs shouldn't just work, they should feel great to use too. I'm a super quick learner, and I love learning new things. Where other people say, "this can't be done", I go and do it. I'm a problem solver at heart, and programming is the perfect fit for that.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's experience is heavily skewed towards backend and full-stack roles, with significant leadership responsibilities. While there is early experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the recent roles are not directly aligned with a dedicated 'Frontend Developer' target role. The personal project 'NoiseStudio' is a library/application for generated textures, which doesn't directly showcase frontend expertise. This suggests a potential mismatch with a pure frontend role, though their broad technical background could be adaptable.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Backend Lead and Lead Software Developer indicates strong leadership, project management, and mentoring abilities. Their work on architecting new systems and improving existing ones suggests a proactive and problem-solving mindset. The detailed descriptions of achievements, such as migrating to Kubernetes and creating microservice templates, highlight operational effectiveness and a focus on robust, maintainable systems.
