Multi-Label Text Classification for Tender Automation

Automated the classification of 30,000+ daily tender entries using NLP and machine learning techniques. Responsibilities: Utilized pandas for comprehensive data preprocessing, including handling missing values, cleaning text data, and removing duplicates from 4.5 lakh+ tender records. Applied string operations and mapping techniques in pandas to replace abbreviations, normalize text, and link product details to keyword lists, generating 96 unique product categories. Performed text normalization and transformation (tokenization, stopword removal, lemmatization) using pandas and NLP preprocessing methods. Built and fine-tuned a multi-label text classification model using Sequential and Text CNN architectures for automated tender categorization. Achieved an F1-score (micro) of 0.80 through threshold tuning and effective data balancing techniques. Delivered an end-to-end automated classification pipeline with pandas-driven preprocessing, reducing manual workload by over 70%.
