Risk-based design of autonomous vehicles
September 1, 2018 – February 1, 2019
I developed a prototype self-driving car following a risk-based design approach, in which each major design step was subjected to hazard identification and the results were used to improve the subsequent iterations. The risk identification utilized various procedures, such as FMEA, HAZOP, Fault Tree Analysis and Sneak Path Analysis. The implemented system contained a physical prototype and a virtual simulation environment. The prototype was realized by converting an RC car using a Raspberry Pi computer together with a Lidar, a camera and an IMU. The operating software was based on ROS and the simulation environment was built in the Gazebo framework.
DTU RoboCup
January 1, 2018 – May 1, 2018
We participated at the annual DTU Robocup competiton in 2018. The base of the robot to complete the course was provided by DTU. We implemented the algorithms and we modified the chassis of the autonomous robot to tackle the various challenges.
An IoT-Based Prototype of a Driverless Bulldozer
January 1, 2018 – January 1, 2019
This project demonstrates an affordable, open-source and scalable implementation of IoT technologies to control a driverless mobile machinery prototype. We integrated a cloud application, communication protocols and a wireless communication network to control a small-scale bulldozer from a remote workstation.
DTU-NASA-JPL Project
September 1, 2017 – December 1, 2017
NASA has scheduled to send a new rover to planet Mars in 2020. An instrument called PIXL is planned to be on board. Its task is to find evidence of ancient life based on laser spectroscopy on martian rocks. Before carrying out the measurements, the surface of the rock is drilled. Every part of the rover should be able to function under varying conditions, including the detection of the center of a drilled area on the martian rock. This project investigated a method for robust detection of the center of the abraded circles. It was solved by using image analysis technologies, such as canny edge detection, contour segmentation and various mathematical methods like circular fitting and elliptical fitting.
Warehouse Automation Project
December 1, 2016 – March 1, 2017
I developed a semi-automated warehouse system for a Copenhagen based fashion company, called designers&friends. It includes barcoding of products, assigning location for items with different sizes and categories, handling returns and damaged items. The solution is based on a web service running on a central web server and is also integrated to the uCommerce (umbraco) back-end office of the website.
Freelance Project
December 1, 2015 – Present
I developed an online user interface for an European Union project called “Study on the expected results of Cohesion Policy in Poland within the programming period 2014-2020”, where on the experts could code the EU programmes for more and deeper analysation. It was based on a MySQL database with a PHP & jQuery web interface.
Smart Home Project
November 1, 2015 – December 1, 2015
This project is a home automation system built on microcontrollers with open-source softwares. It has several sensors and some actuators and it is widely expandable. It displays the measured conditions in numerical and graphical from in and around the house and it is able to control the lights, the heating and the window blinds. We developed the network and the connection between the devices with a plaWorm-free user interface as well, so the control centre is available on any smartphone or on any laptop. The hardware we used for the project was a Raspberry Pi, an Arduino and an ESP8266 microcontroller and the open-source softwares we modified were openHab and mosquitto.
Bosch Project - BSc Thesis
June 1, 2014 – Present
Nowadays a quality control system is a necessary element of every manufacturing process. One part of this system is based AOI machines. Bosch uses AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines as quality gates, they are able to inspect the quality of the placement and wire bonding. Every product is being inspected by an inspection plan. The inspection plans are different for each product types, but must be the same on the machines that are located on the same production line. As my thesis for BSc studies I developed a complex comprehensive application for Bosch. This application is able to automatically map the differences between inspection plans stored on the AOI machines, store the results in a database and check the existence of calibration and overview image files. On a graphical interface the user can display the found differences and view the database in all levels of the structure. The application is able to run automatically and run as a scheduled task, but also has the possibility to run it manually on the online and offline interfaces. It has a built-in and detailed logging system with an automatic backup process. The chosen framework was .NET, the programming language was C# and for the database engine I used MySQL.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate's background includes entrepreneurial experience (Co-Founder & CTO at zupply, Antler program) and diverse project work ranging from academic research (DTU-NASA-JPL, DTU RoboCup) to industry solutions (Bosch, Designers & Friends, Whyyy). This demonstrates a proactive, innovative, and adaptable mindset. While the target role is 'Data Analyst', the candidate's experience leans heavily towards software engineering, system architecture, and AI/ML development. This might indicate a potential overqualification for a pure data analyst role or a desire for a more technically demanding position. The breadth of skills and project diversity suggest a strong cultural fit for dynamic, tech-driven environments, but the specific alignment with a 'Data Analyst' role needs further clarification regarding their interest in deep analytical work versus system building.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate's experience as a Co-Founder & CTO and Senior Software Engineer indicates strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills. Their work on client workshops and coordinating engineering resources suggests good communication and collaboration abilities. The diverse project portfolio also points to adaptability and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
