Principal Architect | Distributed Systems & Edge AI | Real-time, offline-first, adversarial environments
I’ve spent my career building systems that need to work when conditions aren’t ideal: unreliable networks, constrained compute, real-time requirements, and adversarial environments. That work has shown up repeatedly across industries, from content protection and secure distribution, to offline-first edge compute, to real-time computer vision and ML systems deployed on constrained devices. Along the way, some of the ideas I’ve worked on started as internal prototypes or exploratory projects and later shipped at global scale. I tend to be most effective early, when new patterns are forming and constraints are still unclear.

MCP + Claude Agent Workflows for Documentation Quality
July 1, 2025 – Present
Developed a multi-agent system under the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to assist in content generation, quality assurance, and example development across AWS docs. The agents operationalize over 2,500 style rules and support various content types with modular persona-based flows. Delivered scalable tools used by PMs, content strategists, and engineers alike, significantly improving editorial consistency and production velocity.
Customer Journey Recommendations
November 1, 2024 – July 1, 2025
Developed a system for intent-driven content recommendations across 240+ AWS services. Using LLMs (Claude, OpenAI), each documentation page's intent was broken into object-action-context tuples to enable knowledge graph construction. These were used to guide customers across multi-service journeys, significantly increasing engagement (50% CTR lift). The system scaled via Step Functions and distributed inference Lambdas and was persisted to SageMaker Feature Store.
Beacon: Lightweight Metadata and Telemetry at Scale
July 1, 2021 – November 1, 2021
Beacon is an internal system developed to embed real-time telemetry into AWS documentation and open source examples. Inspired by badges.io but heavily modified, Beacon supports tracking of CI/CD health, platform compatibility, and content usage without requiring JavaScript or complex integrations. Designed for scale, it now handles over 6 million daily impressions and is reused across personalization and experimentation layers.
YourPictureWith
August 1, 2011 – September 1, 2015
YourPictureWith is a unique immersive application that was built with the automated background removal patented by Flashfoto, Inc. The YourPictureWith app allows brands to create engaging campaigns that promote customer loyalty. The technology has been used most recently by film studios in 3 of this season's upcoming blockbuster movies.
NBCU Global Anti-Piracy Implementation
January 1, 2007 – September 1, 2008
We designed and implemented an Anti-piracy strategy that allowed NBCU the ability to track the chain of custody for all its digital content, globally. A key component of this strategy was implementing watermarking technology across the enterprise. In so doing, the company was able to identify the source of leakage for all high-value digital assets and fortify its anti-piracy efforts.

Cultural Fit Analysis
The candidate has a diverse background spanning large corporations (AWS, NBC Universal, Technicolor) and startups (Flashfoto Inc.), indicating adaptability to different organizational cultures. Their involvement in building diverse teams and supporting engineering scaling efforts (Onzra) suggests an appreciation for inclusive environments. The breadth of experience from deep learning to security services, and even teaching, points to a curious and versatile individual who could integrate well into a dynamic team. However, the recent focus on ML/AI at AWS might require a re-orientation towards core security engineering principles, which could be a cultural shift.
Soft Skills & Operational Fit
The candidate demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and program management skills through various roles, particularly in managing multi-disciplinary teams and interfacing with diverse stakeholders. Their experience in building and scaling systems, coupled with a history of innovation (e.g., automated UGC crawling, real-time ML/MTurk hybrid workflows), suggests a proactive and problem-solving operational fit. The ability to present to executives and government leaders indicates strong communication and influencing skills.
