Direct Deliveries
May 15, 2026 – Present
Direct Deliveries is a process where articles are delivered directly from suppliers to retail stores, bypassing warehouses to streamline logistics and reduce lead time. Initially, there were five different data sources for direct delivery articles—some based on article and branch, others only on article and LSKU levels. The system was restructured into a single standardized source based on the article-branch level, simplifying data management and improving data integrity. Responsibilities: • Prepared detailed analysis documents across multiple development cycles to assess dependencies and plan optimized solutions. • Created low-level design (LLD) documents, developed programs, and conducted unit testing to validate changes. • Prepared detailed documentation for newly developed cycles, supporting future maintenance and enhancements. • Monitored execution cycles during and after production deployment to ensure all batch jobs executed successfully. • Validated data and results post-execution to confirm accuracy and compliance with new logic and business requirements. • Consolidated five different data sources into a single unified source, improving data consistency and integration. • Redesigned stock update logic to update only after order reception in stores, ensuring accurate, real-time inventory tracking. • Optimized PL/I and JCL batch jobs, improving performance and synchronization between ordering and stock systems.
Store Stock Applications
May 15, 2026 – Present
The Store Stock Applications project focused on optimizing and consolidating store-level inventory management systems to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability. Initially, all store data was managed in the Oracle BRST schema; the project migrated all batch processes to the DB2 FISN schema, enabling smoother integration with mainframe systems. Responsibilities: • Migrated all batch jobs and data processes from Oracle BRST to DB2 FISN, improving database performance, scalability, and consistency. • Created low-level design (LLD) documents, developed mainframe programs, and conducted unit testing to ensure reliable functionality. • Prepared complete documentation for newly developed cycles to facilitate maintenance and audit readiness. • Replaced legacy IMSL services (Stock Management and Delivery Management) with Async Web Services, increasing efficiency and reducing dependencies. • Consolidated 11 store applications (counting, wastage, orders, returns, etc.) into 4 unified systems, simplifying workflows and reducing maintenance overhead. • Optimized batch workflows, reduced job runtime, and ensured synchronization between DB2 systems and downstream applications. • Improved overall system reliability and performance across retail store operations.
